2. Start a blog, or several blogs related to your specific niche market. Carry over to all your blog properties, your branding identifiers (logo, name etc). Start adding VALUE to your blog by adding key-word rich content related to your niche market. Be sure everything on your blog including videos and images and articles is about your market, your business, your niche and make it speak directly to your buyers and prospective buyers.

3. Create back links between all your online website properties for the purpose of traffic, and for search engine optimization. Then work on getting backlinks from other sites through postings, directory sites, blog commenting and so on.

4. Create your Facebook Fan page for your business, be consistent with your branding.
Learn about how to market on Facebook and tap into a captive audience of millions.

5. Create your Social Media accounts, YouTube Channel, Google+, Twitter, Linkedin, Instagram etc., with share links so your content can easily be shared by your followers. Don’t be shy. Be a unabashed self promoter. Tweet, post, video, often with valuable content related to your niche, your speciality, your products and services. Rule of thumb, post often.

6. Create your own email marketing list(s) using optin newsletter services like that offered at Aweber, MailChimp and Get Response. Create specific lists for prospects and for buyers.
A house email list is a major source of income. Suscribers are real people who have joined your list and agree to receive your offers. So make them good ones! The money to be made by having your own list is mind boggling. Everytime you post an offer to your list should be money made from incoming sales. Don’t have your own large list yet? Buy solo ads in other people’s established good quality lists. Be sure to use some type of Ad Tracking tool so you know where your hits are coming from and you can just the power of the ad copy and the effectiveness of the advertising source.

7. Investigate expanding your online real estate to include ownership of your own Safelist. By being an owner you can use leverage to make deals, make offers, promote your own products and services, and sell advertising in our safelist. Your Safelist is branded to YOU, everytime one of your members sends a post, everytime you as the owner sends a post. Safelist scripts are easily purchased for a low cost. You will need some technical expertise though, so do your research before making a purchase.

8. Become an Ebook Author. It is incredibly easy to create your own ebook. Ebooks can be offered as free giveaways as incentives or offered for a low ticket price for mass exposure on Amazon, on social media and so forth. It’s one of the easiest ways to get your name out there as an authority, or as an expert on a specific topic. It doesn’t matter if it’s gardening tips, dog training expertise, money making strategies, golf practice tips, beauty tips, cooking tips etc. If you have a knowlege about anything related to your business, you should write an ebook. The How-To and Do it Yourself industry is alive and well online – AND profitable. Find your niche, then make money from it. Create a website for your Ebook, this is yet another of your online properties.

9. Learn what landing pages are so you can create lead capture pages for your specific products and services. Use your brand, target your niche to generate leads constantly. Always include offers on you landing pages to motivate ACTION. In general, people respond more often to free, no-risk offer lead pages, than instant sale product pages. Landing pages can net you leads and OPT-INS to your newsletter/subscriber list even if the prospect doesn’t buy your marketing has been effective.

10. If you are at all technical then take a look at digital businesses for sale. Flippa.com is a website that lists online businesses for sale. There you can buy and sell websites, domains, and apps. Check it out. It’s quite possible someone has already created what you want and you can buy it and take it over. Be an App creator, be a blogger, be a website designer, offer social media account management for business, handle SEO for businesses, put your services for sale on Fiverr.com. It’s endless how much money you can make online if you have a specialized or technical skill or expertise. This is get another source of income for you, another property income source!

11. Create your own Amazon or Ebay Storefront. Create this within your domain name, not an Ebay store using anyone else’s name but yours. In your storefront promote products related to your niche market and your business. For example, if you are in the dog grooming business for sell products related such as dog food, collars, books on dogs, fashion for dogs, Pet GPS trackers, pet insurance, and so forth.

12. Consider well known affiliate marketing sites like Worldprofit, ClickBank, JV Zoo. You promote the products to generate sales and the companies handle the ordering and delivery and customer service. In the case of JV Zoo and ClickBank, you can also become a product developer and get your product in their marketplace. You then pay affiliates a percentage of the sales they generate. Put the power of affiliate marketing to work to sell your product worldwide.

Appreciate the enormous potential of online income by having multiple streams of income. This can come from your blog, from advertising, from affiliate marketing, from sales on your website and so forth. The more website properties you have the more potential for income from a variety of sources. Don’t lose your focus though and don’t bite off more than you can chew. All activities you do should be related to developing your brand, generating leads, increasing your sales, and expanding your online exposure. Invest the time and effort in growing your online business. This starts with a plan for developing your online website real estate portfolio one property at a time.

Start with one online property. Your primary multi purpose website. Then get a blog, not a free one, but a hosted blog that has your URL in the domain name, not the name of a free blog provider. Build value into your website properties by adding good content, information of value, articles, ebooks, questions and answers, ask an expert, videos, galleries anything that helps your customer, achieves your sales goals, and gets you better search engine ranking. Over time build more niche based sites, create new blogs, link them all together and integrate your social media feeds to your sites. You don’t need to have 3,000 websites, all you need is a few good ones initially that generate revenue, then add a few more over time as you generate income to expand your portfolio.

Stop thinking like a small time affiliate marketer and start thinking like a real estate tycoon. To do this you need a system for earning online, a plan for the development of your properties, and a continuous source of revenue from a variety of sources. Most of all you need support and training for how to do this in the shortest amount of time with the least amount of money invested. Ad or URL Rotators have become popular recently but are they good for your affiliate marketing business?

First though, what is an Ad Rotator (also called URL Rotator) ?

Simply put, an Ad or URL Rotator allows you to submit one or more URLS to be added to a rotation for advertising purposes.
Your Ad/URL then appears in rotation with other participating URLS, either on one site, or a number of sites.
Your ad is not static and does not appear all the time, it gets exposed or shown/viewed in random order along with all the other URLS entered.

Benefits of URL Rotators.

Low Cost.
Using a Rotator is very inexpensive advertising. The cost goes up for the amount of time your ad appears in rotation, the number of URLS you can submit, and the number of sites included in the system. In general, the bang for your buck is very good. Expect to pay about $20 to $50 depending on the type and terms of the Ad Rotator service.

Exposure.
Affiliate marketers have long relied on low cost methods of advertising like safelists, banner ads, solo ads and so forth. Ad Rotators open up a larger market and increased exposure especially if your Ads appear on a number of sites, not just one site.

So you think you know what you are doing when it comes to online marketing?

You consider yourself a smart marketer.

That means you must be doing a pretty good job of generating leads, building your list and branding yourself. Right?

Let’s look at a few simple things you can do to go from being a smart marketer to a brilliant marketer.

Brilliant Marketers get BRILLIANT results by doing this:

Every day, and every spare moment you have free, you work on your business and ways to:

Expand your marketing reach
Build your brand
Grow your email marketing list(s)
Generate more traffic
Increase your leads

Expanding your marketing reach:

1. Don’t fall into the trap of promoting to the same places every day.
Instead spend time finding new targeted sites for posting your ads.
If you currently promote to 5 places a day, try to increase that by 1 more place per day.
The more you promote the better but be sure you are using good quality sites with your target audience.

2. Ad Swaps, Solo Ads, Login Ads, Banner Ads are all great ways to market. Find sites you like that produce good results and invest some money in low cost paid ads. Make sure the ad copy you are using is benefit-laden, has a super offer to get ACTION.

3. Be sure you are tracking your clicks on your ad promotions. It’s pointless to promote and not know how many clicks you got from that effort. Track your advertising so you know exactly where you are getting the best results and importantly where you aren’t getting results.

4. Be wary of low cost, outrageous traffic claims, example $10 for a year of traffic. Or $47 for 1 million leads. All you will get is bots filling out your forms, recyled names and / or fake traffic. Total waste of money. Another reason to track your ads so you recognize legitimate traffic from fake traffic. Watch for red flags like identical IP addresses on the leads, similar name entry styles. If you have control over your own landing pages, use a Captcha to filter out the bots and make sure it’s humans completing your forms.

5. Safelists offer free ad credits or low cost advertising and are plentiful. Safelists are a terrific source of traffic for affiliate marketers. Make sure you are posting landing pages with a spectacular offer and lead form to generate leads. Offers are what converts lookers into an actual lead.

Building your brand with Social Media:

Nobody loves you like you do. So it’s your job to brand yourself so others can know and love you too. This means getting a really good photo of yourself and including it with all your posts, on all your websites, on all your blogs, on all your social media campaigns. People do business with people, not artsy-fartsy avatars. Use a professional photo of your face looking right at the camera. We all want to know who we are doing business with, so your branding starts with a decent picture of your face. Look and be professional and business-worthy.

Branding is similar to leaving cookie crumbs in the house. Build a trail for people to find you. This means getting and maintaining the following accounts:

Linked In
Instagram
Twitter
Facebook (Personal/Group/Fan Page
Your own blog(s) – a domain based blog that you own, never a free one

If you have a specific skill or expertise, or craft, consider creating your own ebooks. Growing your email marketing list(s).

This is a list that you grow overtime, a list of people who have expressed an interest in your product or services or who have actually bought something from you. These are people who optin or subscribe (never bought or harvested). The products and services you offer may change over time but as long as you have an email marketing list you have a list of potential BUYERS. This is gold. Stay in touch with the people on your list by offering sales, deals, special offers, good information of value. You build trust, you stay connected, you keep YOU and your brand in their in-box.

When she started she didn’t have a lot of technical experience but she did have some offline sales experience. She knew that sales don’t land in your lap, instead you have to connect with people as a genuine, real person. Sales are made online in a very different manner but there is still the need for that personal touch and a proven system for making it happen.

There is no doubt that Linda has that magic touch. I asked Linda to provide some insight to help and inspire others to grow their own successful online business.

Linda, you’ve been with Worldprofit for over eight years now. That’s remarkable in this industry.
What keeps you at Worldprofit?

Linda, as an experienced marketer and consistent Top Seller do you have any advice for someone new to Worldprofit who is just getting started?

Follow the steps…use the system in place….make good habits of promoting everyday…Learn new things as often as possible…incorporate them in your daily program. Be organized, diligent, relentless and reliable…Show up…participate in your business.

Linda can you tell us what methods of promotion you recommend to get the best results?

I use what’s in the Worldprofit system including all the 20+ traffic streams…I am always learning new techniques to use social networks (goody bag)…ibo…Udimi (moneymakers) I surf for points and purchase solos…purchase credits…Over the years I have upgraded in lots of the 20+ streams for the points. I change up subject lines…to make them punchier…I shorten the ads…I check my links alot to make sure they are correct. And I develop relationships with other marketers and owners of the safelists and traffic exchanges.

Linda, do you have a Daily Checklist of things you do to grow your business? What’s on that list?

I have a schedule I follow everyday.

Wake up (very early) start computers and have coffee…while going thru my personal emails. Send replies…and use virtual sales assistant to send to all the prospects that came in while I was sleeping.

Promotions are next. I use a 3 ring binder and have a page or two dedicated to each advertiser to date and time ads …check on commissions…promote

Shower…take kids to school etc

Start social networks and blogging…and helping monitors close sales…chat with customers…call customers…Monitor if I am needed.

Monitoring is extremely important if you are a serious business owner. Participation extremely important…Team work extremely important

Linda, how do you engage with prospects to make sales? Do you use Chat? Email? Phone? Other? A combination perhaps? What works best in your experience?

I find that calling Prospects works the best…the chat system is awesome…call loop is great…email can be iffy.

Any final words?

Final words…My success is because of everything above being done daily and diligently. Being a person who always tells the truth and is reliable..is essential to growing your list and relationships online. I am very predictable…and solid. I’m sure you’ve noticed that the Internet and your email box is rife with stupendous offers, promises of instant riches and more.

As an online marketer serious about building a legitimate online business and customer base, a powerful way to set yourself apart from other “offers” is to be a real person, not an auto responding hipster of hype. As a consultant, a mentor, a sponsor, whatever you want to call yourself, you must be real, and be available.

It’s called relationship building – it’s vitally important and here’s why it’s good for your bottom line.

-People like do business with an individual, not an autoresponder.
-People like to do business with people they trust.
-People will buy because they feel good about buying not because they were pressured to do so.
-People continue to do business with people who don’t drop off the face of the earth when the sale is done.

Managed properly and smartly, one sale today, can mean a lifetime of sales from your customers.

Here’s how to better connect with your prospects (people) to earn and keep customers over the long term.

You know that the key to making sales is promotion but don’t let your promotions reek of mass automation without personalization.
Whenever you can, in your online marketing use a person’s name not a generic salutation.

In all of your marketing materials use your own full name and provide all the ways that your potential customers can reach you and that means email address, Skype, or even your phone number if you are comfortable with that.

Include your photo when you can on your landing pages, sales pages, website, and marketing materials. You don’t have to have movie start good looks, just be sure to use a picture that is clear where your face is visible.
If your eyes are direct and looking at the viewer that’s a definite plus. Even when doing business online we look for the eyes of the person – we can’t help ourselves it’s an animal instinct we all have. Remember you may never actually meet your customers face to face, so you’ve got to work a little harder to earn trust and that starts with making it clear you are a real and sincere person.

Don’t be afraid to connect with people on the phone. We often hear how people are so happy to talk to an actual LIVE person on the phone. We are so used to being bombarded with emails and pitches with no personal connection whatsoever. People who don’t mind being contacted by phone will provide their phone number. On your website forms, you can and should include a phone number field. If people don’t want to be called they won’t provide their phone number.

Make use of the technology available to you to reach out of customers when convenient to them in a way that is cost efficient for you both. Use Skype, webcasting, online meeting centers, record personalized video messages and more.

Why talking to someone on the phone in an honest way leads to higher sales conversions.
When you talk on the phone you can gauge interest, you can rule out objections to purchase, clear up misunderstanding or miscommunication. You can make a good offer a better one if it means the sale can close sooner. Connecting on the phone means better understanding the needs of the individual, meeting those needs, and the sale can close with both parties satisfied.

ABC. Always be moving toward the close. When you allow your prospects time to review your offer, it doesn’t mean you aren’t trying to make or conclude a sale. It means, making a believable offer, answering questions, ruling out objections and moving them to where they can make the right decision – to buy.

Ever been in a store and been approached by commissioned sales people? Notice that it’s usually the most helpful person that answers your questions then asks for the sale that wins you over? The one who shows interest in your needs, provides the benefits of the item then leads you over to the cash register. Online your job is to provide the benefits of what you offer, answer questions then lead your new customer to the order form.

Realize that not everyone is in a position to buy right now. You smartly will respect that but will get the person’as contact details so you can email them future offers (with their permission of course), stay in touch, and hopefully gain their business in the near future.

ABP. Always be promoting. You can never have too many prospective customers. The more you promote, the more leads you have. Leads that are responded to quickly and efficiently can quickly become customers. Stay on top of your leads. We all want prompt responses these days. Phone, email, text, skype, twitter, Facebook as you like but do communicate.

Limit how much automation you depend on for building your business. The internet and specialized software has helped so much with business building, but in some ways it’s taken away one of the most important factors in closing sales – connecting with people. Even in a technically dependent world, nothing closes sales better than personalized professional attention.

Want to make a sale today? Want to start making MORE sales? Connect with people honestly. Pick up the phone. Want to increase your overall monthly income? Pick up the phone. Don’t be a sales person, just be a real person. It’s how sales have been made since the dawn of time, person to person. A nice helpful person on the phone is so refreshing in an email driven market place filled with promises, pitches and hype.
